Course project · Blender
Task
Learn to create low-poly 3D scenes in Blender as part of a structured course.
Challenge
Transition from the familiar 3ds Max environment to Blender and understand the differences in interface, workflow and tools.
Implementation
Home Office
Practising hard-surface modelling and a non-destructive workflow through an interior scene: creating furniture and electronic devices, working with PBR materials, UV mapping, lighting and final rendering.
Forest Road
Creating a low-poly environment: modelling terrain, a road, vegetation, rocks and water, while working with modifiers, textures, composition and lighting.
Classic 66
Building a more complex scene from multiple objects: modelling architectural elements, vehicles and environmental details, using kitbashing and curves, and setting up materials and lighting.
Result
I learned the basic workflow for creating 3D scenes in Blender and was able to transfer my previous experience from 3ds Max. This knowledge also helped me better understand the production process and estimate the effort involved in creating 3D scenes for E-Learning projects.
