Игрожор

Personal blog and Telegram community

The Telegram blog continues what I started on The Daily Telefrag: I write about video games, pop culture and mental health, often using characters, stories and relationships as a way to explain psychological topics. Long-form posts are less frequent here, while the educational side has become more prominent.

“Игрожор” is a self-deprecating play on the Russian shorthand “игрожур” (“games journalist”): instead of claiming a professional title, it suggests someone who simply devours games.

Visual system

I based the visual identity on an existing graphic template and adapted it for the blog. Using its source elements, I built a flexible system of my own: reworking compositions, balancing elements and adapting layouts for different formats and platforms, while creating new assets whenever needed.

  • headers and visual assets for Telegram, The Daily Telefrag, Twitch and Boosty;
  • avatars, icons and navigation elements;
  • covers and headers for individual posts;
  • postcards and graphics for community events;
  • a mascot for the blog;
  • a custom Telegram emoji set.

Community

  • Communication guidelines: respect for personal boundaries, direct communication without passive aggression, sarcasm or invalidation, with an emphasis on assertiveness and nonviolent communication.
  • Moderation: I set and maintain the community rules and boundaries myself to keep the space respectful and supportive.
  • Events: several international postcard and gift exchanges between community members.
  • Livestreams: conversational streams about games, psychology and related topics.
  • Boosty: voluntary support for the project; I have donated part of the proceeds to people in need of psychological support.

Educational content

I continue to write about mental health through pop culture, using familiar characters and stories as concrete examples for discussing psychological mechanisms, relationships, boundaries, self-acceptance and emotional maturity.

I also warn readers about potentially difficult scenes in games and films, so they can decide for themselves whether they feel ready for that content.
